design-inspired urban farming
In our last post, we featured a story about meeting with Veterans to Farmers founder, Buck Adams. We love the Veterans to Farmers story and the work Buck and his team are doing. It’s inspiring and we hope Veterans to Farmers and other organizations like it encourage more people start looking to farming/growing as a way to create solutions for what ails our society and culture.
Anna C. Stull and Christian A. Mussett have produced a short featuring Veterans to Farmers. The short is currently a semi-finalist in the Focus Forward Filmmaker competition. Anna is a retired Army Captain, Army Nurse Corps. We encourage you to watch the short here.

As a recently retired Iraq War veteran, I understand the challenges of finding employment after military service. Veterans to Farmers is an amazing program that trains vets in organic greenhouse farming. Not only does this provide meaningful employment, but it strengthens our communities, protects the environment and bolsters our economy by providing local, clean, and traceable fresh food.
