Sowing the Seeds of Sustainability

From the blog of NYT’s, Mark Bittman, his guest blogger and friend Clotilde Hryshko shares her summer tale of introducing her daughter’s friend Adam to the fruits of summer harvest.  It’s such a lovely story of opening the eyes of someone completely new to growing and eating directly from your garden.  Clotilde runs a CSA in Vermont and took frequent trips with Adam to the farm to harvest and how they prepped for their many summer meals.

What a great way to share the beauty of harvesting your own produce with others and especially younger generations. How do you share your love for the farm fresh produce you are growing in your urban farm?

Sow, what do you think?
